Peatlands and Payments - Phase 1 Support to Policy Report
The original Peatlands and Payments analysis (Phase 1) was undertaken in early 2021. This was an unpublished report for RESAS and SG policy teams. This used 2018 farm payments data and a version of the peatlands mapping that did not report the area of woodlands on peat.
The Peatlands and Payments (Phase 2) analysis undertaken in early 2022 updated the payments to 2019 and added the woodland class, but the summary data focused only on the businesses >1000 ha. This was again an unpublished report for RESAS and SG policy teams.
Attitudes and drivers of behaviours of landowners and land managers towards Land use change associated with Climate Change Plan targets, PAWSA Report Commissioned by RESAS
Achieving Scotland’s targets for addressing the Global Climate Emergency will require major changes to Scotland’s land use. These changes will be largely dependent on the actions taken by Scotland’s landowners and land managers. This report summarises the findings of recent research on the attitudes and drivers of land manager behaviours in relation to climate change in the UK.
